Soothe — Support

Last updated: 21 August 2026

If you need help right now

Soothe is not a crisis service and nobody monitors this page in real time. If you are in danger, or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country now. In the EU and much of Europe that is 112; in the US and Canada, 911, or 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline; in Türkiye, 112.

The app shows the numbers for where you are on its crisis screen, and will open that screen by itself if what you write suggests you are at risk.

Soothe is a free emotional check-in app for adults. You choose what is closest to how you feel, add a note if you want to, and get one small thing you could try — then a conversation, if you want one. It is not therapy, not a medical service, and not a crisis service.

Typical reply time
Within 5 working days. This is a small, independent app — there is no 24-hour support desk behind it.
Languages
English and Turkish. Write in any language and it will be answered as well as possible.
Who is behind the app
Erdem Kılıç, Türkiye — the data controller named in the privacy policy.

When you write, it helps to say which device and OS version you are on, the language the app was in, and what you expected to happen. Please do not send the contents of your check-ins — nothing here needs them, and they are private to you.

Your data

How do I delete everything?

From inside the app: Settings → Delete my data. It removes your check-ins, your conversations and your anonymous account, immediately. It cannot be undone, and there is no copy left to restore from.

You do not need to ask anyone's permission and you do not need to email anybody — the button does the whole thing. If it fails, the app tells you it failed rather than pretending it worked; write to the address above if that happens.

What do you know about me?

No name, no email address, no phone number. Soothe signs you in anonymously, so your check-ins are stored under an identifier that is not linked to you personally. There are no analytics and no trackers. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Does anything I write leave my device?

Yes, and it is worth being precise about it. To write a reply, your recent messages in that conversation are sent to an AI service. The app explains this and asks you to agree before your first conversation. The check for crisis language runs entirely on your own device, before anything is sent anywhere.

I changed phones — where are my check-ins?

They stay with the anonymous account on the old device. Because Soothe never asks for an email or a password, there is no account to sign back into, so history does not follow you to a new phone. That is a deliberate trade: no sign-up, and no way to recover.

Premium and ads

What does premium actually change?

One thing: it raises the daily message limit, so a conversation can go further before it runs out for the day. It also removes the ads. Nothing about the support itself is different — the check-in, the crisis screen, the history and every language are the same on both tiers, and always free.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google, not by Soothe, so cancelling happens in your store account:

You keep the higher limit until the end of the period you already paid for.

I paid but the app still shows the free limit

  1. Make sure you are signed into the same store account that made the purchase.
  2. Open the upgrade screen in Soothe and choose Restore purchases.
  3. If it still does not appear, close the app fully and reopen it — the entitlement is re-checked at launch.

Refunds are issued by the store, not by Soothe. On iOS use reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, the order history in Google Play.

Why are there ads in a wellbeing app?

Because it is free and it costs money to run. They appear only on the home screen — never inside a check-in, a conversation, or the crisis screen — and they are never personalised: nothing you write is used to choose them or shared with the ad network.

Using the app

Which languages are supported?

English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese. Soothe follows your device language; change it in your phone's settings and the app follows.

The conversation stopped and showed me help numbers

That is the crisis check doing what it is meant to. If it triggered on something you did not mean that way, it is being cautious on purpose — the cost of being wrong in the other direction is much higher. You can start a new check-in straight away.

Can I get my reply back / reopen an old conversation?

Past conversations can be read in History, which is free for everyone, but they cannot be continued. Each conversation is a closed session by design.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. Soothe is for adults only — you must be 18 or older to use it.

Reporting a problem

Bugs, wrong translations, a reply that felt off, or anything that made the app harder to trust: send it to infobicehgo@gmail.com. Reports about replies that felt harmful or dismissive are read first, because the whole point of the app is that using it leaves you feeling better than you did before.
